Our physicians spend their time clinically treating patients while also focusing on business metrics, patient/client satisfaction, and center management. This role allows physicians to blend patient care with management skills, working for a leader in workplace health.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the center, leading by example and creating an exceptional patient experience.
  • Ensure the daily execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists for optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor clinical center metrics related to quality outcomes, such as Practice Indicators, COP, GRV, LOS, TAT, etc.
  • Manage clinicians and support staff, complying with supervisory requirements.
  • Create a professional, collaborative environment promoting teamwork, quality, and safety.
  • Work with DMO to identify and implement clinical improvements.
  • Use clinical systems efficiently for documentation, coding, charge capture, and follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance with state practice acts, regulations, and WC requirements.
  • Drive patient and client experience metrics.
  • Communicate with employers about injuries and clinical changes.
  • Participate in CLT meetings to improve quality and growth.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and payers, responding within 24 hours.
  • Manage staffing levels to optimize satisfaction and workflows.
  • Promote Orange Book values among colleagues.
  • Develop staff success through all talent lifecycle stages.
  • Foster a collaborative, professional, and safety-focused environment.
  • Lead multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve outcomes.
  • Understand and contribute to financial drivers to meet business goals.
  • Support center initiatives and workflows aligned with other centers.
  • Provide input on budgets and key business metrics.
  • Qualifications
    • Graduate from an accredited medical program.
    • Board certification preferred, in your specialty.
    • Active, unrestricted California medical license.
    • Active DEA license prior to start.
    • Active NRCME certification prior to start (CME provided if not yet certified).
    Experience & Skills
    • Experience in occupational health, urgent care, sports medicine, emergency medicine, primary care, or orthopedics preferred.
    • Strong service mentality, attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility.
    • Decision-making, problem-solving, and excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information per HIPAA and PHI laws.
    • Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, clinical operations, OSHA, DOT.
    • Strong knowledge in medicine, biology, chemistry, systems evaluation, human behavior, and management.
    • Excellent communication, teaching, coaching, and leadership skills.
    • Proficiency in medical documentation, electronic medical records, and basic computer skills.
    • Willingness to learn and improve continuously.
