Work hours:

Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM PST.

Responsibilities
  • Provide impeccable customer service.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, and clients in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that could delay release or movement of freight.
  • Maintain relationships with correspondent brokers, T&B, and other service providers to ensure customer service requirements are met.
  • Resolve banking and letter of credit issues, advise customers on payment terms, and obtain payment on delinquent accounts.
  • Resolve billing issues and coordinate post‑entry activity on customers’ behalf.
  • Perform accurate data input and corrections into computer files.
  • Conduct route‑cause analysis as directed by the Account Administrator.
  • Manage the entry verification process and coordinate post‑entry activities on customers’ behalf.
  • Access clients’ external systems as necessary.
  • Correspond with business partners via written, phone, or e‑mail.
  • Produce operational trend reports and keep partners apprised of the exception process.
  • Respond to pre‑alerts per customer SOP.
  • Maintain general knowledge of Fed Ex products and services.
  • Interact with customers, internal staff, and management of all levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer front‑line personnel.
  • Facilitate entry processing and handle pre‑arrival and post‑arrival exception resolution.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months of brokerage or transportation experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to handle high volume, time‑sensitive work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Detail oriented, knowledgeable in HTS classification, familiar with the harmonized tariff system, and knowledgeable of U.S. Customs regulations and other relevant federal regulations.
  • Paid training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience providing customer service, documenting customs paperwork, and resolving freight release issues.
  • Experience with banking & credit problems and billing resolution.
Pay

$17.86 – $28.28 USD hourly. Compensation varies with experience, location, level.
