Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control programs in accordance with current guidelines and regulations
• Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections and outbreaks and implement appropriate interventions to prevent the spread of infection
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection prevention and control
• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control measures
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection control strategies
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of infection prevention and control activities
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices related to infection prevention and control

Qualifications:

• Current LVN license in the state of California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
• Knowledge of current infection prevention and control guidelines and regulations
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software
