Cashier role at K1 Speed

General purpose:
Provide excellent customer service while maximizing profitability and efficiency.

• Perform opening duties to prepare the facility to receive customers
• Perform cash handling duties and transact business with our customers
• Maximize revenue by effectively up‑selling races
• Efficiently fill the day's racing schedule
• Coordinate group events and perform award ceremonies
• Provide accurate information to our customers in person and over the phone
• Ensure that the lobby, banquet room, cafe and restroom areas remain clean and safe
• Accurately count till(s) and provide funds for deposit
• Perform specific facility cleaning duties as assigned by management
• Perform closing duties to clean the facility and prepare for the following day's operation

High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions; to deal with few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; speak effectively before groups of customers and respond to questions.

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units; compute discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)

• Moving packages of drinks and food product
• Moving bins of head socks and folding
• Reaching for and identifying retail and concessions product

Predominantly indoor environment with exposure to outdoors through openings. Moderate noise level.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
