Assistant Controller – Contract-to-hire | Start ASAP
Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $75.00/hr
An innovative electric vehicle company is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee core accounting functions and lead process improvements. This is a full-time, onsite role working closely with top industry professionals to support timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting operations with backup processes for all critical functions
- Create and maintain corporate accounting policies
- Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc reports for leadership
- Lead process optimization and strategic planning initiatives
- Manage SOX 404 implementation for general accounting
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Support internal, statutory, tax, and SEC audit processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of general accounting experience at a public company (required)
- Experience in manufacturing or OEM environments (required)
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of SAP HANA preferred
- CPA certification preferred
