Field Service Technician – The Marvin Group

Description: The Service Tech/Installer reports to the Operations Manager and Production Manager. This multi‑roll role requires travel and independent or team-based work. Responsibilities include servicing and installing the Gas Energy Mixing (GEM) System and related equipment, maintaining quality workmanship, communicating effectively with clients, and ensuring safe, code‑compliant installations.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain proficiency in hand and power tools and installation techniques.
- Master all CWT equipment, including pH systems, motor controls, and GEM electronics.
- Complete jar testing, pump seal replacement, and electrical programming for PH and level controllers.
- Build strong relationships with clients and contractors.
- Provide preventative maintenance options and perform service calls.
- Work in the shop or field as required.
- Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Complete installations and repairs to code and company standards.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Maintain a clean, well‑stocked work vehicle and truck.
- Complete all documentation accurately, including inventory, photos, authorization forms, timesheets, spending reports, and daily inventory logs.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
- Continue education on installation and service techniques.
- Maintain a professional image and job‑site cleanliness.
- Review job scope with customers before beginning.
- Be on call for immediate deployment to job sites.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical components of the GEM system.
- Track mileage and inventory per company policies.
- Work effectively as a team member in the field and shop.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement in skills and performance.
- Deliver quality service with no customer complaints.
- Build a self‑sustaining preventative maintenance program.
- Maintain accurate records for each job and client file.
- Show willingness to assist all departments.
Salary Range: $68,840 – $85,000
