Senior Cloud Engineer

Overview

Faraday Future (FF) is a California-based mobility company focused on delivering user-centric, technology-first vehicles and new paradigms in human-vehicle interaction.

Senior Staff Cloud Engineer. You will work with industry-leading minds to develop our cloud solution, focusing on microservices, databases, serverless, real-time analytics, data pipelines, and related tools. You will design, develop, and enhance backend applications from prototype to production, including integration and processing of large real-time vehicle data.

• Design, develop and build out cloud services with Spring Cloud
• Participate in code reviews to validate best practices and logical designs
• Contribute to development of technical specifications for our products and drive the adoption of new technologies
• Develop multi-region and cloud-oriented services, tests, and documentation
• Evolve system design and architecture to support product growth and adoption
• Benchmark and validate perception algorithms for final deployment

• MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of programming experience with Java and distributed systems
• Ability to follow best practices and write clean, robust code with end-to-end and unit testing, code coverage, and static analysis
• Experience with one or more high-volume stream processing technologies with Spring framework
• JVM performance and GC tuning for server applications
• Build processes for modern Java stack (Gradle, Maven, Jenkins)
• Strong expertise in No
  
  SQL, distributed databases, and distributed messaging systems (e.g., RDBMS, Redis, Apache Kafka)
• Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, JIRA and Jenkins
• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure including X.509 certificates, SSL/TLS handshakes, certificate lifecycle management, and Certificate Authorities
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience with SRE tools such as Docker and Terraform
• Ability to understand sophisticated workflows and graph structures
• Experience with multi-cloud architecture (e.g., GCP & AWS)
• Experience with infrastructure data engineering

Annual Salary Range: ($190,000 - $215,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
