Position Overview

Pro Coil Tubing is seeking a field-ready Electrical Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems on coiled tubing units, nitrogen pumpers, and related field support equipment. This role requires hands‑on field experience and the ability to diagnose and correct electrical issues under operational conditions — ensuring reliability and safety in all environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on coiled tubing units, nitrogen units, pressure pumps, cranes, and support trucks.
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot control panels, sensors, PLCs, and instrumentation used in oilfield service equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical inspections in accordance with Pro Coil safety and maintenance standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Assist mechanical and operations teams with commissioning, field testing, and troubleshooting equipment during deployments.
  • Maintain documentation of electrical repairs, part replacements, and service intervals.
  • Ensure all work complies with company safety policies, DOT, OSHA, and API standards.
  • Participate in equipment upgrades, retrofits, and reliability improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade school certification preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience as an Electrical Technician in oilfield services, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance.
  • Strong working knowledge of 12V and 24V DC systems, high‑amperage wiring, and relays.
  • Experience with PLC controls, VFDs, and instrumentation (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Ability to troubleshoot using multimeters, continuity testers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Capable of working in outdoor or remote environments with extended hours as required.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
