Underground Manager

This role focuses on overseeing all underground operations, scheduling, quality assurance, and timeline management of fiber optic network projects to ensure successful completion.

As the Underground Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Timeline management: develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, ensure adherence to timelines, adjust schedules as needed.
• Permitting and regulatory compliance: secure necessary permits, approvals and ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards.
• Quality assurance & testing: implement quality control processes, oversee testing and certification of fiber optic installations, troubleshoot performance issues.
• Risk management:
  
  identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, monitor throughout project lifecycle.
• Health and safety compliance: enforce safety protocols, provide training, ensure procedural adherence.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain project documentation, generate progress reports for stakeholders.

Education and experience:

a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in fiber optics or related field; leadership and fiber drop position preferred.

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs and maintain safety expectations.
• Ability to drive covered vehicle.
