Floral Clerk

Assist customers in their shopping experience by keeping the floral department stocked and creating visually appealing display cases in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible. Reports to the Floral Manager. Non-exempt position.

• Consult with customers to determine products that meet their needs and document orders.
• Know department products and policies to answer questions.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Implement Cosentino's Customer Service Standards.
• Monitor products for damage or returnable items and follow damage claim procedures.
• Read dated and coded products accurately.
• Neatly arrange cases and shelves matching UPC codes to tags and ensuring front-facing products.
• Create balloon arrangements to customer specifications quickly and efficiently.
• Deliver floral and store products to customers as needed.
• Keep cases and shelves stocked, rotate, water, and check freshness and date.
• Change shelf tags, price markers, and label/price missing UPC codes.
• Count and record items for inventory.
• Unload shipments, inspect shortages/damage, and stock materials without damage.
• Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and department.
• Comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate basic math and reading skills.

• High school diploma preferred.

• Assist with additional tasks as requested by management.

• Reach overhead up to 74 inches and lift items up to 2 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling items up to 20 lbs.
• Stand and walk for long periods on tile, asphalt, concrete.
• Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs., occasionally.
• Bend, squat to floor level.
• Work in colder conditions of coolers and freezers.

• Climb a ladder up to 5 ft.
