Schedule40 hours per week; 08:00 am – 04:30 pm, Monday‑Friday. Extended daily hours and weekends when necessary.
Responsibilities- Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment.
- Perform a variety of tasks without close supervision, including sod laying, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, assisting with installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units and sprinklers.
- Exercise independent judgment and may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees.
- Position does not include supervision of other workers.
- Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Hourly rate: $20.15
- Overtime rate: $30.23 (time and a half above 40 hours per week). Overtime is not guaranteed.
Raise/bonus at employer's discretion; opportunity for higher pay based on experience/performance.
Payday:
Weekly on Friday.
- Employer‑paid pre‑employment, post‑employment, and on‑suspicion drug testing.
- 3‑month experience required; no education required.
Shared housing available to seasonal full‑time employees. Employees may arrange their own housing. If living in employer‑provided housing, rent (utilities included) is $56.25/week and may be deducted from wages based on the number of occupants.
DeductionsDeductions as required by law, cash advances, repayment of loans or over payments, payment for items purchased from the employer, recovery of losses or damages caused by the employee (beyond normal wear and tear) or loss of equipment when the employee is responsible, and any other reasonable deductions expressly authorized in writing. No deduction not required by law will reduce earnings below the federal minimum wage.
TransportationEmployer provides transportation from central locations to multiple job sites in Kansas (Johnson, Miami, Douglas, Wyandotte) and Missouri (Clay, Jackson). Return transportation and daily subsistence are paid or provided if the employee completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Outbound transportation is paid at the most economical common carrier rates for the distance.
Visa and ReimbursementEmployer will reimburse the H‑2B worker in the first workweek for visa processing, border crossing, and related fees (excluding passport expenses or other worker‑benefit charges). For eligible workers, inbound travel costs not already paid in advance up to 50 % of the work period (or with the first paycheck if applicable) will be reimbursed. Inbound travel includes transportation from the worker’s permanent residence or recruitment location to the place of employment, a daily subsistence for meals, and reasonable lodging when applicable.
