Roofing Service Technician - St. Louis, MO

Roof Technician

Located in St. Louis, MO. The Roof Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of roofing systems for both commercial and residential roofing. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. The technician must be able to assess damage, perform skilled repairs, work at heights, and ensure that all work is performed to code and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

• Labor with crew to complete all aspects of jobs assigned by the company, including tear-off, repairs, installation, and other jobs as assigned.
• Assist in setup and tear down of safety equipment as instructed.
• Safely operate tools and equipment such as roofing nailers, ladders, harnesses, and scaffolding.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites, following OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Abide by all job-site safety requirements, including PPE, fall protection, OSHA and company policy safety requirements.
• Report all situations improperly protected.
• Participate in weekly trainings and manufacturer system-specific training.
• Attend all company-wide training events and other training as assigned.
• Perform work according to company standards.
• Collaborate with the assigned crew and work for the benefit of all.
• Mentor less-experienced crew members.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in roofing or construction.

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have and maintain a good driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  
  Must be able to work in high places and elevated surfaces.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools safely, effectively, and within proper use.
• Must be agile and hold yourself and others accountable, have a personal growth mindset, act with integrity, demonstrate leadership attributes to motivate and support coworkers, and practice everyday improvement.

Works outside in all types of weather and may be exposed to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sun, etc.

This is a safety sensitive position due to driving requirements or job responsibilities and includes safety-sensitive tasks that require performing duties fraught with risk of injury to others where even a momentary lapse of attention may have grave and disastrous consequences.
