Exciting opportunities exist for an energetic, well-qualified Emergency Medicine Physician to practice at Heywood Hospital and Athol Hospital. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Emergency Medicine provider comfortable with a full scope of Emergency Medicine. Our hospitals are located in a beautiful New England community just 60 miles from Boston, MA. The candidate will enjoy practicing in a collaborative, collegial, and supportive environment with a strong emphasis on quality care and customer service.

About Heywood Healthcare:
Heywood Medical Group is a non-profit physician organization affiliated with Heywood Hospital and Athol Hospital, comprising over 70 providers in primary and specialty care. Our primary care physicians focus on Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine, while our specialists cover Addiction Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Obesity, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Rheumatology, and Urology.
Heywood Hospital is a state-of-the-art community hospital serving the Greater Gardner area, featuring modern imaging services including MRI and 64-slice CT. Opened in 2011, the $37 million Watkins Center includes a 21-bed emergency department, private inpatient beds, a six-bed ICU with 24/7 eICU services, mental health and geriatric psych units, and a wound clinic. Athol Hospital is a non-profit, 25-bed critical access hospital serving nine communities in the North Quabbin Region, just 20 minutes from Heywood Hospital. It features a new Medical Office Building, imaging services, a 24/7 emergency room with 13 beds, and a swing bed program for transitional care. These organizations form Heywood Healthcare, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.
