Radiologic Technologist - Part Time at Community Health Connections
The Radiologic Technologist performs digital X‑ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. The X‑ray Technician is a multi‑skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care and help manage the clinic flow under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing, and providers. 12‑hour shifts with potential evening and weekend availability required.
Responsibilities- Safely performs provider‑ordered radiographic examinations, including proper patient positioning, immobilization, and utilization of appropriate radiation protection.
- Sets up and adjusts supportive and immobilization equipment and devices as required by individual cases; positions and handles patients with a high degree of safety and professionalism.
- Accurately documents patient encounters within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors to safeguard the patient, x‑ray tube, and equipment.
- Maintains clinical and administrative skills to meet patient care and daily operational needs; may need to travel to other sites or adjust work hours as directed by the manager.
- Directs and practices sterile technique to prevent cross‑contamination of disease.
- Reports immediately any malfunction, necessary adjustments, or repairs of equipment to supervisor.
- Other duties include ordering supplies, lab, and diagnostic tests, and disposing of contaminated supplies.
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of an approved X‑ray Technician certification program is required; registration with the American Registry of Radiographic Technicians (ARRT) or eligibility for licensure/certification preferred.
- Medical assisting experience a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English or Portuguese/English preferred.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced medical office environment preferred.
- Computer skills for accurate data entry.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and ability to use standard office equipment.
- AHA BLS Health Care Provider certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced office environment, strong interpersonal relationship skills, and written and verbal communication skills in English.
