The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a proactive and collaborative approach in serving the patient population.

• Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and provide consultation to in‑house and community services.
• Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and collaborate with the medical team to determine the best overall treatment for each individual.
• Perform risk assessment of inmates; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections; and manage discharge planning.
• Assist in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• Prepare necessary documentation, records, and reports.
• Utilize clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
• Demonstrate excellent and timely documentation skills.
• Make independent clinical decisions while utilizing assistance and supervisory intervention as needed.

• Co‑lead group therapy, one‑on‑one therapy, and crisis therapy.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
• Preferred: two years of employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency, or equivalent experience.
• Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
