We are seeking a Crepe Operator to join our Converting Department. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring crepe machines that transform tissue paper into crepe paper for downstream converting processes. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate crepe machines according to production specifications
- Load and unload tissue paper rolls efficiently and safely
- Monitor machine performance and perform routine checks throughout the shift
- Transport finished crepe rolls to the converting lines
- Maintain and inspect roll carts for safe and proper function
- Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational standards
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times
- Follow all company policies, including safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Understand and mitigate risks associated with safety, product quality, and legality
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift (up to 8+ hours)
- Comfortable climbing stairs and working on catwalks
- Able to push and maneuver roll carts weighing between 50–500 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
- Previous experience operating industrial or converting machinery is a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
