Job Summary
As a mid‑level medical device assembler, you will use your technical skills to assemble and inspect a variety of medical devices, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role deepens your expertise in the medical device industry and is crucial to delivering safe and effective healthcare solutions.
Principal Responsibilities- Follow work instructions and technical documentation, applying expertise in assembly techniques and operating specialized equipment with precision.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks, escalating assembly issues to maintain productivity and product quality.
- Troubleshoot basic assembly issues.
- Mentor and train entry‑level assemblers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams.
- Proficiency with various assembly techniques and tools.
- 2–5 years of experience in medical device assembly or a related manufacturing field; familiarity with specific medical device types is advantageous.
- Advanced technical skills, including certified soldering to ISO standards and precise handling, measuring, and mixing of epoxies.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, inspections, and documentation practices in accordance with ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve assembly issues.
- Leadership and mentoring experience guiding entry‑level assemblers or leading small teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure devices meet rigorous safety and efficacy standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and production tracking.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and manufacturing practices.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. A college degree in a relevant field preferred. Equivalent experience may also be accepted.
Working ConditionsThis job operates in manufacturing laboratory environments, including ISO Class 7 clean rooms. Personal protective equipment is required in controlled environment rooms.
Physical EffortRegularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
TravelLimited local travel may be required.
Other RequirementsEmployment is contingent upon compliance with United States export controls.
Salary$20 – $22 per hour
