Overview

As a Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA), you will maximize sales in the prestige category—color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance—by engaging guests, determining their individual needs, and assisting them with product selection and purchase while following all company policies and procedures. The PBA supports store standards, including cleanliness, replenishment, and guest experience, and works with the Sales Manager to drive performance, people, and process objectives.

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni‑channel sales with a focus on prestige and iconic brands.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting and engaging every guest, personalizing service, recommending complementary products, and informing guests of current promotions and events.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously and conduct makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Book appointments and support in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while achieving prestige and iconic brand sales goals.
• Stay informed about new industry trends, products, and services, and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance and a professional appearance by adhering to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Collaborate with managers and associates and participate in ongoing training, including product and brand education, to enable continuous professional development and drive prestige sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards, maintain store operational standards, and execute merchandising, inventory, and loss‑prevention tasks as directed.

• High school diploma preferred; cosmetology, esthetician, demonstrator’s license required where state law mandates.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Demonstrated passion and competency for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility throughout the store during the shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting during the shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. during the shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during the shift.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $25.50 per hour, based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Full‑time associates are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part‑time associates are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law.
