As a member of the Executive Management team, the Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the Finance function for DAC Vision. This responsibility includes supervising the Finance team, designing and maintaining effective internal controls, providing accurate financial reporting to local, global, and governmental users, and supporting/advising the leadership team in pursuit of constant improvement and growth. The Controller is a key position at DAC Vision and actively participates in the overall management and strategic direction of the organization.
The Controller must develop relationships across the Essilor Luxottica organization as well as with external parties in order to manage a wide breadth of matters including those in the areas of financial reporting, compliance, treasury, tax, audit, and legal.
- Supervise and support the Finance department, including both local team members and GBS shared service centre support staff.
- Oversee internal controls compliance, including design, execution, and compliance with Essilor Luxottica policies.
- Maintain ERP systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial record‑keeping.
- Provide management with accurate and relevant reporting to support organizational decision‑making, including analysis and recommendations based on data and experience.
- Manage the monthly closing process to ensure on‑time, accurate delivery of financial results.
- Support the monthly intercompany reconciliation and consolidation process.
- Coordinate and prepare regular financial forecasts and the annual budget.
- Manage company audits (external, internal, tax).
- Oversee the preparation of account reconciliations and the determination of accounting estimates.
- Support legal matters and liaise with legal counsel.
- Prepare governmental filings and ensure compliance with relevant governmental agencies.
- Manage treasury activity, including daily approvals/monitoring, weekly forecasting/reporting, banking platform administration, and compliance with group policies.
- Advance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance department by utilizing new tools and technology, identifying process improvements, and training staff to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare information to support the preparation of tax returns and related tax filings.
- Answer/address ad‑hoc requests from internal staff, local/global leadership, group consolidation, group tax, group treasury, governmental agencies, taxing authorities, auditors, and attorneys.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

- BS in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree and/or CPA highly desirable.
- 5–10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of technical accounting rules and internal controls.
- Comfortable dealing with change and ambiguity.
- Strong computer skills, including very strong spreadsheet and database skills.
- Highly detailed and accuracy‑oriented.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage, lead, and supervise teams, including delegating work effectively.
