Accounting Manager - Contractor

Our client, a rapidly-growing company in the East Dallas area, is looking for an Accounting Manager (Contractor) to step into a visible, hands-on role within their dynamic finance team. This isn’t your typical heads-down accounting gig.

• Lead and oversee portions of the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Partner with internal and external audit teams to prepare and deliver audit documentation
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and tax estimation processes
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls
• Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen reporting, streamline workflows, and drive operational excellence
• Prepare accurate financial reports and provide insights to management to support strategic decisions
• Participate in ad hoc projects and assist with system enhancements or implementations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including some management or supervisory experience
• Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives
• Strong foundation in financial reporting and month-end close processes
• Highly proficient in Excel; experience with JDE or similar ERP systems is a plus
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
