Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
Our client, a rapidly-growing company in the East Dallas area, is looking for an Accounting Manager (Contractor) to step into a visible, hands-on role within their dynamic finance team. This isn’t your typical heads-down accounting gig.
It’s a chance to take real ownership, lead talented people, and make smart process improvements that actually stick. If you like the idea of being the person who sees a messy process and says, “I can fix that,” this role has your name all over it.
- Lead and oversee portions of the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Partner with internal and external audit teams to prepare and deliver audit documentation
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and tax estimation processes
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen reporting, streamline workflows, and drive operational excellence
- Prepare accurate financial reports and provide insights to management to support strategic decisions
- Participate in ad hoc projects and assist with system enhancements or implementations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including some management or supervisory experience
- Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives
- Strong foundation in financial reporting and month-end close processes
- Highly proficient in Excel; experience with JDE or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
If you’re an accounting pro who thrives on problem-solving and making things run better than before, this is the kind of project that keeps work interesting. Join a company that values initiative, collaboration, and results...and get ready to make a real impact from day one!
