Job Summary

Our Human Resources Generalist is responsible for hiring and interviewing, administering benefits, and enforcing company policy. This full‑time salary position will oversee these HR functions for multiple geographic locations.

Duties and Accountabilities
  • Recruit, interview, and hire applicants; collaborate with leadership to understand the needs required for positions.
  • Partner with hiring leaders, to share applicable updates, as related to recruitment and retention.
  • Execute new hire and benefits orientations, and manage benefits and associated leave tracking for employees.
  • Ensure appropriate performance management documentation is completed for employees through leadership.
  • May participate in employee meetings, separations of employment, and employee investigations.
  • Oversee HR initiatives at their locations such as benefit open enrollment benefits and performance reviews.
  • Develop and propose employee engagement plans, get necessary budget approval, and initiate activities.
  • Maintain compliance with employment regulations and recommended best practices.
  • Travel to other work locations as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to flex work schedule to address special needs and be "on call" for Human Resources related concerns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to have high capacity.
  • Time management skills with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn the organization’s HRIS systems quickly.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience.
  • At least 1-3 years of Human Resources experience, and within an operational or manufacturing setting.
Physical Capabilities and Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk, typing on a computer, and talking on the phone.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Ability to repetitively twist or turn; stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow dress code guided by the company.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
  • Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
