Role at a GlanceAs Outdoor Events & Operations Manager, you will oversee our internal processes focusing on our event staff and tent installer roles. This includes the entire staffing lifecycle for the most impactful part of our company: the people! You’ll have the responsibility to recruit, hire, train and manage our team of event staff and tent installers. You will also have the responsibility to schedule and manage that team on a day to day basis.
ThingsYou’ll Be Doing
- Manage company schedule allocating drivers, staff, and vehicles for 1,600+ events per year
- Recruit, interview, train and manage new event staff/tent installer team members as well as managing existing team members.
- Manage scheduling and execution plans for staff for our day to day operations
- Serve as staff point of contact regarding hiring process, hours, and scheduling (7 days a week during busy seasons)
- Oversee contractor time‑clock and invoice process to report hours for weekly payroll
- Forecast future staffing needs based on seasonal demand, including the securing of temporary staffing support as needed
- Provide oversight and guidance to event staff regarding company policies and procedures. Assist General Manager with staff praise, discipline, and termination as needed
- Maintain a calendar of staff availability and staff rankings
- Serve as liaison between other departments and event staff to ensure information flow for effective event execution
- Participate in an on‑call rotation with other management staff for evening/weekend event staff support
This position will be based in our office located in Garland, TX. Standard office hours are Monday‑Friday from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Schedule adjustments available as needed to support seasonal demand.
Required Qualifications- Experience with recruitment, hiring and managing processes
- Experience managing logistics and scheduling processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug test in accordance with local law/regulations
- Ability to work some nights and weekends as needed based on seasonal demand
- Experience in the event services industry
- Experience managing a time clock/payroll report process
- Experience with supervision of full‑time employees and contractors
- Experience with oversight of scheduling/logistics processes for organization(s) focused on delivery/pick‑up, order fulfillment, distribution, or related field
- Experience creating training schedules and outlines for new and existing staff
- Familiarity with Entrepreneurial Operation System (EOS)
