We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Community Property Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure resident satisfaction, and maintain financial and operational goals at our property/community.
The Community Property Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the property, including leasing, collections, resident relations, maintenance oversight, budgeting, and staff leadership. This role requires a balance of operational expertise, financial acumen, and customer service skills to ensure the community runs smoothly and profitably.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Administration- Oversee day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Monitor occupancy, rental income, delinquency, and expenses.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly property performance reports.
- Develop and manage property budgets.
- Monitor rent collections, follow up on delinquencies, and enforce lease agreements.
- Approve invoices, purchase orders, and control operational expenses.
- Supervise leasing efforts to maximize occupancy and rental rates.
- Ensure property tours, leasing documents, and move-in/move-out processes are handled professionally.
- Collaborate with marketing to implement outreach and resident retention strategies.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely work orders and preventive maintenance.
- Conduct regular property inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Recruit, train, and supervise on-site staff (leasing agents, housekeepers, maintenance teams, etc.).
- Provide performance feedback and coaching to support team growth.
- Foster a positive, service-oriented work environment.
- Build strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns quickly and professionally.
- Plan and support community events to encourage resident engagement.
- 5+ years of experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager (multi-family)
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of property management software (Onesite).
- Budgeting, financial reporting, and collections experience.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
