Blow Molding Supervisor
Job Overview
The Blow Molding Supervisor, in addition to their capacity as a Blow Mold Technician, will be fully responsible for managing the Blow Molding Technicians across all three shifts, and for the continuous operation, maintenance of all equipment and machinery used within the department.
The Blow Molding Supervisor is expected to lead the improvement of the Blow Molding Technical department. To design and work with the team to implement strategies to optimize current and new production processes. This role will also assist the Injection Molding Supervisor with assigned projects.
Essential Functions
Supervision of blow molding department/TechniciansSchedule work, including shift assignments, preventative maintenance, and trainingDevelop and implement improvement plans for the departmentEnsure all forms and data records are completedAssist with cross-training of injection mold TechniciansOversee maintenance of blow molding machinesProcess products, troubleshoot, and repair blow mold machines and equipmentReduce scrap and promote operational efficiencyContact manufacturers to resolve technical issuesTest and implement new equipment and processesRegulate production processesImplement strategies for process improvementsDesign solutions to production problemsCreate documentation for new processes and productsEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and work rulesFollow start-up and shut-down proceduresUnderstand and comply with OSHA and Lock-out/Tag-out regulationsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements
Technical training in blow molding processingMinimum 5 years' experience with blow molding machinesExperience with SIAPI and SIPA machines preferredMechanical troubleshooting, repair, and machine shop skillsAbility to operate material handling equipmentRequired Traits
Ability to follow instructionsManage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesProficient in English communicationBasic math and computer skillsWork independently and in a teamWork overtime and weekends as neededCommitment to organizational successExperience/Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
