Overview
The Pipefitter is responsible for selecting appropriate types and sizes of pipes, along with related materials and equipment such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, based on specific job requirements.
Responsibilities- Ensure proper installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine piping layouts.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes accurately to meet project specifications.
- Ensure safety standards and quality control throughout the piping process.
- Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed, maintain equipment, and collaborate with other construction or maintenance teams to complete projects efficiently.
