Operations Leader – Tunceli Projects
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Plant Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job OverviewPrimary responsibility includes managing all day‑to‑day plant operations. Lead a team across all production areas to improve efficiency, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
Essential Responsibilities- Supervise all plant operations including production and warehouse departments (machining, processing, assembly).
- Plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver products on time.
- Manage staff by preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals and objectives such as GMP and SQF safety procedures.
- Communicate and coach employees daily to ensure they have the information and direction needed.
- Provide training to direct reports on operating procedures, quality standards, and health & safety policies, ensuring compliance.
- Respond to emergency requests, troubleshoot issues, and determine solutions.
- Participate in all shifts as necessary to keep the department streamlined.
- Collaborate with other departments on projects as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with shop environment and ability to apply fundamental troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines.
- Effective teamwork ability and professionalism in stressful situations.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
- Computer skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Office for administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both group and one‑on‑one.
- Strong decision‑making skills to improve workflow.
- At least 2+ years of leading a team in a manufacturing environment; experience in the plastic industry preferred.
- Works in both an office environment and warehouse.
- Requires sitting for extended periods while operating a computer, telephone and other office equipment.
- Must be able to stand, walk and move on a shop floor for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
- Work environment in a warehouse with temperatures ranging from hot to cold, depending on outside conditions.
- Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the plastic industry, or other manufacturing environments, is highly preferred.
- Hands‑on ability to assist in completing department goals as required.
