Join Our Team as a Production Quality Lead at Epiroc!

To aide other shop personnel to complete assignments made by the Supplier Quality Manager. The incumbent’s role is that of a skilled and knowledgeable person which can supplement the leaders directions by providing detailed information to workers with lower skill levels.

Perform functions within company safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan assembly procedures using blueprints
  • Check availability of parts, components, and materials (i.e. use M3/Inforto confirm allocations, locations, and part disposition)
  • Follow-up on faulty parts
  • assemble parts and components in proper sequence
  • Make all required corrections/modifications according to work order/customer request
  • Lend support to production test for troubleshooting activities when possible and ensure proper operation of the rig before release to test pad
  • Assist in assigning duties
  • Maintain the cleanliness of designated production quality area(s)
  • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations / guidelines
  • Maintain work-related records and reports (i.e. quality defects, unplanned material requisition)
  • Ensure availability of all stored supplies
  • Perform other duties as required or directed

Occasional, Infrequent

  • Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts
  • Return leftover parts back to Warehouse

Responsibility for Equipment / Process / Material / Product:

  • Handles equipment such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks, floor jacks, and forklifts. Large damage amounts if equipment is improperly handled.
  • Incorrect assembly can also result in a large loss amount requiring rework and other actions

Knowledge/

Education:

  • Overall knowledge of product line
  • Familiar with basic hand tools and mechanical assembly and electrical sequences and techniques
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting principles
  • Knowledge of M3/Infor transactions that directly affect their work area
