Medical Director
The Animal Hospital of Garland is looking for a Medical Director committed to upholding a high standard of patient care. Located in Garland, Texas, Animal Hospital of Garland is an AAHA‑accredited practice and has served the community since 1972. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care to patients while ensuring an excellent client experience. We aim to stay at the forefront of current medical and surgical standards.
We prioritize a balance between work, life, and family, and to support this we do not have on‑call duties; any after‑hours emergencies are referred to a local emergency room.
The ideal candidate excels in client relations, communicates effectively, and collaborates with team members to provide top‑quality patient care. This role is open to either a Veterinarian with leadership experience or an experienced Veterinarian looking to step into a leadership role. In this role, you will manage your medical caseload, have flexibility to choose medications, and partner with the Hospital Manager to oversee the team and facility.
You will manage wellness and sick cases, as well as patients needing medical, surgical, and dental care.

- Have 3+ years of experience, preferably 5+ years
- Strong surgical and internal medicine skills
- Must have DVM or VMD from an AVMA‑accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Texas or able to attain one and be in good standing
- DEA license is preferred
- Must have enthusiasm for continued learning and improvement, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach
- Available to work some Saturdays
