• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. Duties include assisting customers with bakery purchases, cleaning shelving and display cases, maintaining self‑serve displays, taking special orders, coordinating with the baker on items to be baked or decorated, and cleaning the department with soap and water.

Essential functions involve lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements typical of a fast‑paced grocery store.
