Position OverviewThe Outside Service Sales Representative will drive growth of NTD Mechanical’s HVAC service business, focusing on preventive maintenance contracts, retrofit opportunities, and equipment replacement sales. This newly created role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on relationship building, consultative selling, and developing new markets. The successful candidate will build long-term service relationships with construction clients and expand our service footprint throughout the DFW area.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development
- Generate new HVAC service sales opportunities, including maintenance contracts, retrofits, replacements, and energy upgrades in commercial, institutional, and light industrial markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, and facility leaders.
- Develop and manage a qualified service sales pipeline through networking, outreach, and CRM tracking.
- Account Management
- Manage and renew existing service agreements to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
- Partner with the Service team to address issues, ensure quality delivery, and identify add‑on opportunities such as energy upgrades, controls, or IAQ improvements.
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Coordinate with Estimators and Service Managers to convert project clients into long‑term service customers.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, client activity, and KPIs in a CRM.
- Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- 4+ years of HVAC service sales, mechanical contracting, or building services experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, maintenance agreements, and retrofit solutions.
- Proven ability to prospect, present, and close deals.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; CRM proficiency.
- Self‑sufficient, self‑motivated, and client‑oriented—excited to build a book of business from the ground up.
