The Opportunity

Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Planned Maintenance Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive Mechanic) to join our team in Garland, Texas. As the Planned Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks required by our loyal customers.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Planned Maintenance Technician your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
• Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs
• Completing work order forms
• Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
• Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment
• Following established warranty processes

Required

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• 1 to 2 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry, such as heavy machinery or material handling equipment
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license

The base pay range for this role is: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Garland, Texas.
