DFW Area Residential Service HVAC Technician

Must Have Residential HVAC Experience

Operate, maintain, and repair all equipment used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for residential equipment. This individual supports the business by traveling to customers and helping create solutions for their homes. You will partner with the business to diagnose issues and repairs. In addition to supporting Milestone efforts to ensure we are effectively communicating with our customers.

• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
• Travel to job sites in the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays to customers.
• Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of customers.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting vehicle inspection forms.
• Provide extreme customer service skills; interact with homeowners, collect payment, and relay information clearly.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Educate homeowners on potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
• Meet any physical ability requirements listed in this description.
• Perform other job duties as directed by team leaders.
• Participate in company‑provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving history.
• Pass background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
• Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.

• Positive forward‑thinking and excellent conflict resolution.
• Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience (required).
• Current EPA certification and State Registered TDLR (required).
• Excellent organization, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Strong multi‑tasking skills across multiple support channels.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to read and interpret plans and manuals.
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Office and iOS devices.

• Lift and move items of 75 pounds or more regularly; lift weights of 40–50 pounds on raised surfaces repetitively.
• Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently for extended periods.
• Work in cramped or high places such as attics, ladders, and tunnels.
• Carry heavy items up and down stairs.
• Operate in extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleet.
• Use critical thinking, problem‑solving, and a technical vocabulary to understand direction and follow established procedures.
• Remain adaptable under workplace stressors such as customer service complaints.
