Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading company in building products, renowned for its comprehensive range of high-performance solutions. Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production and plant equipment.
• Cut, thread, and install piping systems.
• Troubleshoot, rebuild, repair, and replace pumps, including progressive cavity, diaphragm, and gear-driven pumps.
• Maintain working knowledge of steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, and their controls.
• Operate industrial air compressors and pneumatic piping.
• Utilize electrical, air-driven, and manual hand tools and equipment, including arc welders and acetylene torches.
• Perform pipe fitting and pipe welding.
• Identify equipment or process issues, define problems, and offer safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at work sites and maintenance shops.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment and implement new procedures as needed.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, as well as Personal Risk Assessment Forms, Safety Task Planners, and Good Catch Forms.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Experience in maintenance repair and preventive maintenance.
• Welding, motors, gearboxes, and 3-phase electrical systems knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with piping, including cutting, threading, and installations.
• PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical aptitude, including pipe fitting and welding.
• Experience with pumps, boilers, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulics.
• Ability to work with up to 480 volts for electrical tasks.
• Forklift operation experience.

Work Environment

This position operates in a non-climate-controlled, hot, industrial environment. The working hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required and ample overtime opportunities during peak seasons.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
