Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join us as the Team Lead for Industrial control panel design. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team of Electrical Designers to design & develop Industrial control panels for various projects. Technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong knowledge of industrial control panel design will be essential to ensure the successful delivery of high‑quality control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to a small team of designers involved in industrial control panel design projects.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to project timelines.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, skill development, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Identify training needs and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Lead the design and development of industrial control Panels including electrical schematics, panel layouts, and component selection.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Mechanical Engineers, Automation Engineers, Project Managers, and Product Line Managers, to ensure the seamless integration of controls Panels with new and existing industrial Equipment.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews of control panel designs to identify potential issues, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance to Morris and Associates design standards and procedures.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes related to industrial control panel design and incorporate them into the team's practices.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, and contractors to address technical queries, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Enforce existing standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to UL508A standards, and NEC/NFPA codes and regulations.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, user manuals, and as‑built drawings to facilitate future troubleshooting, maintenance, and modifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial control panel design and engineering
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of designers or engineers.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as UL and NEC/NFPA.
  • Experience designing and testing Mixed Voltage control panels including 12‑24

    VDC and 120‑575

    VAC/ 1‑3 Phase/ 50‑60

    Hz.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and engage with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy in design and documentation.
