The Final Mile Operations Supervisor provides operational and administrative support to the Final Mile division, manages daily activities of warehouse associates and delivery teams, supports operational reporting, and ensures deliveries are executed efficiently and according to client expectations.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Operations Manager in daily supervision of Final Mile delivery and warehouse operations.
  • Supervise and support daily operations by answering inbound calls from customers and delivery teams, providing timely assistance and resolution to service inquiries.
  • Oversee scheduling activities by making outbound calls to delivery customers to confirm delivery appointments and address scheduling needs.
  • Audit and verify delivery routing and scheduling to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with client expectations.
  • Manage invoicing activities through dispatch and invoicing systems, ensuring timely and accurate billing processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery teams throughout the day, communicating updates, addressing operational changes, and reinforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute daily operational reports to branch leadership and relevant stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage the damage and return reporting process, ensuring incidents are documented, communicated, and addressed in accordance with company protocols.
  • Oversee routing and scheduling functions to maximize delivery efficiency, team productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate activities of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient inventory, staging, loading, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor warehouse operations to support high service quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned to support the success of the Final Mile operation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, transportation, or delivery operations preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and proficiency in all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Prior experience with inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership, training, and team coaching skills.
  • Proficiency with transportation management system (TMS) or route planning software preferred.
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a warehouse and office environment with frequent exposure to warehouse activities.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions during loading/unloading operations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to operate or oversee warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work in an active, physically demanding environment.
