Asset Protection Specialist

The Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and for supporting safety and environmental program compliance in assigned stores. They use tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, and interact with law enforcement.
• Testify in criminal and civil court actions as required.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and stay focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational duties.
