Rental Turn Technician
Position Summary: The Rental Turn Technician provides timely completion of CGI, repairs and maintenance to various rental heavy construction equipment and machinery within shop at Ascendum Branch locations, according to established procedures, while maintaining good working relationships with customers and co‑workers.
Job Type: Full‑time
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt
Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
Responsibilities- Responsible for the monthly maintenance of stored machines process
- Complete all delivery and receiving functions
- Maintain yard organization
- Completes and documents pre‑loading inspections, as well as all attachment installations and removals
- Maintain, safely operate, and care for company owned tools and equipment per company requirements
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all safety training, product training, and service department goals
- Complete assigned work with minimum re‑work
- Ensure all company safety requirements are adhered to at all times
- Ensure all administrative functions are completed in a timely manner
- Respond positively to other duties that may be assigned in the scope of the job
- Seek formal and informal performance assessments, including performance versus expectations
- Actively participate in required training, development programs, and electives as suits one’s needs
- High School diploma and/or trade school completion in appropriate field
- Computer skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - Ability to communicate with customers and co‑workers in a positive and enthusiastic manner; approachable and friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA and Ascendum Machinery requirements
- Aptitude for repairing, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment in changing environments
- Strong attention to detail
- Raises issues and concerns promptly
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Documents work in a clear and concise manner
- Proven ability to complete work with energy and enthusiasm
- Customer orientation toward service and building relationships
- Compatible to working branch hours and extended days as needed
- Must possess own set of tools for repairing equipment
- Require the ability to talk or hear regularly
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and crawl without restrictions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Work in varying outdoor/indoor environments with various terrain
