Caton Construction Group is growing! Currently seeking a Grade Foreman for our roadway construction project in Wake County (Garner), North Carolina.

• Coordinating construction work according to priorities and plans.
• Plan, organize and lead grading crew.
• Producing schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocating general and daily responsibilities.
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Schedule aggregate material quantities and deliveries. Determine trucking needs and schedule truck(s).
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
• Ensure labor and other resources are adequate.
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
• Resolve problems when they arise.
• Report on progress to managers, engineers, etc.

This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with time provided for lunch; hours may vary. Work may be local or out of town, in which case overnight stays are required. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Driver’s license is required.

Assigning work to subordinates, as well as establishing deadlines and modifying work schedules to meet deadlines as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as construction foreman.
• Diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.) is a plus.
