Diesel Fleet Technician – Greene Resources

Greene Resources is looking for a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join its growing and dynamic team.

Location: Garner, NC Pay: $32.50/hr + 10% shift differential + $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus

Position Type: Full‑time;
Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM;
Friday, 1:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Job Description
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel, gasoline, and propane fuel systems.
  • Repair air, hydraulic, and electric brake systems.
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on vehicle HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Assist with training and support other technicians to improve team performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safe forklift and parts operations.
  • Perform welding, equipment handling, and other assigned duties as needed.
Position Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment/trucks maintenance.
  • 5 ASE certifications or 10 years of vehicle maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or GED (Associate’s Degree preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license; must obtain a CDL A within six months of hire.
  • Proficient in diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical within the first 90 days.
  • Must provide personal mechanical tools appropriate for the experience level.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors and adapt to varying work conditions.
