Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Distribution/ General Warehouse
Join the Capital family as a Parts Warehouse Associate where you'll play an important role in keeping our Parts Department running smoothly. You'll support our parts team, technicians, and delivery drivers by organizing inventory and helping ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time. WhatYou'll Be Doing:
- Pull parts from inventory and deliver them to the correct area for the next step in the parts journey to the final customer
- Receive and stock incoming parts, keeping storage areas neat, organized, and clearly labeled
- Issue credits and file return claims to the manufacturer
- Pack and prepare parts for delivery or shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with verifying invoices, delivery receipts, and driver manifests
- Support overall department organization and efficiency through teamwork and attention to detail verify quantities and document any discrepancies
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventories
- Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipping
- Coordinate with carriers and ensure timely dispatch of outgoing shipments
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards
- Complete and maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and other warehouse activities
- Other duties assigned
- Prior experience in automotive parts or warehouse operations is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment
- Basic understanding of automotive parts and terminology preferred
- Strong communication skills and a positive, dependable attitude
- Willing to learn new skills
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks
- Willingness to adapt to changes in processes and procedures
- Flexibility to handle a variety of warehouse tasks
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory. Willingness to obtain certification is required
