Event Manager / Planner, Customer Service Rep
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for safely handling guests’ and patrons’ vehicles to ensure proper parking, securing, and handling of keys.
Responsibilities- Display a positive and professional attitude and presentation at all times when communicating with guests.
- Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with days off fluctuating.
- Responsible for the staging of guest vehicles.
- Responsible for parking guest vehicles in the parking garage.
- Responsible for timely retrieval of vehicles.
- Assists the Valet Supervisor and ensures that breaks and rotations are followed as scheduled.
Attend seminars when needed.
QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required. The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or related experience.
Additional Requirements- Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, and flexible shifts.
- Good driving record within the last 48 months with no more than 3 points.
- Must provide a current driving record.
- Must tolerate moderate to severe weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
- Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
- Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and an outgoing personality, while projecting a professional appearance.
- Drive and handle cars of all makes and models, and all types (i.e., Automatic, manual, etc.).
- Address stressful situations with guests with dignity, utmost tact, and politeness.
- Walk/run 90% of shift and stand 10% of shift.
- Tolerate running, stooping, and bending for long periods of time.
