Hospitalist Physician

Sound Physicians is seeking a dedicated Hospital Medicine Physician to join their team at Methodist Northlake Campus in Gary, Indiana. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of physicians, advanced practitioners, and clinical performance nurses to deliver high-quality patient care. The position offers flexible day and night scheduling options with a strong clinical support model in a vibrant community near Chicago.

Practice Info

• At Methodist Northlake Campus, our strong, collaborative team includes 6 physicians and two advanced practitioners who join forces with other hospital staff and departments to bring the best possible quality of care to our patients
• Work alongside a very diverse team who come from all different geographical locations, backgrounds, and cultures
• Our clinical performance nurse supports you in providing a high-quality patient care experience
• Day Hospitalists round on patients as well as do admissions using a model of 2 hospitalists along with an APP working as a team
• We work with Epic as our EMR system and would be cross-credentialed at our sister location in Merrillville

Responsibilities

• Round on patients as well as do admissions
• Run codes and rapids
• Admit to the ICU and consult with an intensivist

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certified/eligible in family or internal medicine
• Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Indiana
