Expeditor-Plants

The Expeditor will coordinate, administer, and execute all roll shop transportation activities for the Gary SMS Group Operations site, ensuring precise documentation and on‑time delivery of roll shipments.

• Carefully inspect and document all incoming and outgoing roll activities for accuracy.
• Prep rolls for shipment per business demands.
• Complete SOP travelers and document daily activities.
• Possess good mechanical skills in daily operations.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Properly rig heavy machinery and equipment for use with overhead cranes.
• Act with a safety‑conscious attitude and report any unsafe acts or conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Ability to learn and understand critical processes and operations in assigned areas.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be safety conscious and have operated forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Schedule: 6 am – 4 pm, Monday–Friday plus one weekend every four weeks.

Seniority Level: Entry level.
