Position Summary
The Service Technician performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses, and makes advanced repairs at various remote/roadside locations. This position is responsible for ensuring company equipment is running at optimal performance. The Technician determines the causes of failure and implements strategies or corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Responsibilities include cleaning, maintaining, assembling, and reconditioning equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates, inspects, troubleshoots, performs diagnostics, and identifies defects or malfunctions.
- Determines required repairs on heavy and/or hydraulic equipment.
- Repairs or overhauls mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Performs preventative equipment maintenance.
- Documents and submits all necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
- Maintains availability for after‑hours service calls.
- Other duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.
What You'll Bring To The Team
- Two or more years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
- Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements.
- Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem‑solve.
- Meet all physical requirements of the position.
- Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, by DOT regulations.
- 18 years of age or older (21 if CDL is required).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
