General Laborer; Gary

A&K Railroad Materials is a national leader in supplying high-quality railroad track materials. We’re looking for dependable individuals to join our general labor team in Gary, In. This position runs 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM and is perfect for someone who enjoys active, hands-on work and being outdoors.

Much of your day will be spent assisting with the movement, preparation, and organization of rail and other railroad materials, and other yard operations. You must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow, while supporting a team-focused environment.

• Perform general labor tasks such as moving materials, preparing them for production, and assisting in yard operations.
• Operate tools, equipment, and forklifts safely to support daily workflow.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas both inside and outdoors.
• Collaborate with teammates to keep production running smoothly, ensuring materials are ready where needed.
