Average pay: $1,275-$1,425 weekly

Home time: Daily

Experience: 3 months or greater CDL experience

Overview

• Haul freight containers and move company-owned chassis from railyard to railyard.
• 100% no-touch freight that is 100% drop-and-hook.
• Drive a tractor from Schneider's pool of 150+ day cabs. No assigned trucks.
• Drive in and out of railyards within 60 miles of Chicago, IL.

Pay and bonus potential

• Hourly pay and load pay.
• Longevity bonus:
  Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
• Drivers on this account are required to drive at night.
• Tanker endorsement and Haz Mat endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
