Schedule: Monday–Friday (7am–4pm or 8am–5pm)
Pay Rate: $21.89
12 Month Contract
The Pay Administrator supports accurate and compliant payroll operations through timekeeping administration, inquiry resolution, and payroll input processing. This role serves as a payroll subject‑matter expert, promotes self‑service adoption, and partners with HR and Finance to improve processes and ensure efficient pay delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Tier 2 timekeeping inquiries and resolve complex payroll issues.
- Prepare and submit timekeeping files; support pay corrections, one-time payments, awards, and reimbursements.
- Ensure accurate execution of collective agreement changes and support on‑cycle/off‑cycle payroll runs.
- Educate employees and leaders on payroll policies and self-service tools; act as gatekeeper for special pay requests.
- Provide onsite support and direct employees to appropriate channels.
- Support system updates, testing, and process improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field; or HS diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of payroll, timekeeping, or HR operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and timekeeping systems.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Workday preferred) and reporting tools.
- Lean/process optimization experience preferred.
- Bilingual required.
