Job Title: Assistant Construction Project Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible start time between 6–8 AM)
Compensation: $70,000–$78,000 base salary (flexible for the right candidate)
Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, Paid Vacation & Holidays, 401(k), and ESOP participation after 1 year.
Qualifications- Construction knowledge and terminology; must be able to communicate professionally with General Contractors
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and professional in external-facing interactions
- 3+ years of construction project support or related experience preferred (not required if strong construction exposure and culture fit)

Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support successful project execution across commercial construction projects. This role provides direct support to the Project Manager, coordinating documentation, communication, scheduling, and project workflow to ensure projects stay on track from initiation through closeout.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager with project coordination and administrative tasks
- Assist with change orders, submittals, and project documentation
- Communicate with General Contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Assist with scheduling, tracking milestones, and maintaining organized project documents
Review and update plans and specifications (training provided) - Conduct occasional job site visits (rare, approx. 1x/year)
- Exposure to a growing project portfolio
- Hands-on mentorship and growth-focused leadership
- ESOP participation after 1 year
- Reports to:
Director of Operations - Project Team includes 1 Project Manager and 3 Purchasing team members
- Procore (training available)
