Position OverviewWe are seeking dedicated Direct Support Staff to provide care and support to individuals during weekend shifts in a group home or home-like setting. Staff will assist with daily routines, personal care, and community involvement, while ensuring safety and well-being. This role requires completion of all required documentation and effective implementation of goals outlined in each individual's Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
Available ShiftsWeekdays and Every Other Weekend 2nd Shift (Afternoon): 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM (weekdays) / 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM (weekends)
Weekdays and Every Other Weekend 3rd Shift (Afternoon): 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM (weekdays and weekends)
Schedule option for either 7 days on / 7 days off or normal weekly hours
Essential ResponsibilitiesSupport individuals with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Assist with medication administration and monitor medical concerns such as seizures, allergies, and adaptive equipment use.
Participate in recreational and community activities, including swimming and family events.
Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and incidents.
Advocate for residents and support their personal goals and outcomes.
Ensure safety and supervision at all times, protecting individuals from hazards.
Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and minor repairs.
Attend staff meetings and complete all required trainings.
Provide transportation as needed, only when individuals are unable to do so independently.

Physical & Mental RequirementsAbility to lift up to 20 lbs, stoop, bend, walk up to two miles, and perform household tasks.
Adequate visual and audio acuity to supervise residents and respond to emergencies.
Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to perform basic math functions and maintain accurate records.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
Current auto insurance policy.
Ability to work in a group home or home-like setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must maintain all state-required certifications (CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.).
At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Must successfully complete all required training prior to placement.
CompensationHourly Pay: $13.00 – $15.00
$15.00 rate for applicants with an Associates or Bachelors Degree and at least 2 years of experience with IDD/MH/DD.
