Overview

Front Line Manager in Training  new managers complete a structured four-month training program to prepare for the Front-Line Manager role within the Service Operations department.

Job Title:

Front Line Manager in Training

• Ability to demonstrate learnings throughout the training program
• Support the execution of store procedures and processes
• Successfully complete the Management Development Program

• Roles and responsibilities of functional areas within Service Operations
• End-to-end production process including inventory management, cosmetic and mechanical repair
• Fundamental management skills of leaders at Car Max through our Management Development Program

Upon successful completion of the Front-Line Manager in Training Program, the new Manager will be placed in one of the following roles:
Flow Mechanical Manager, Flow Cosmetic Manager, Flow Supply Manager, Inventory Manager, or Service Manager.

Supports the Service Operations department by preparing new managers to lead teams across various functional areas. This role helps ensure operational excellence and leadership readiness across the store.

• Work through and manage a team to achieve goals
• Read, interpret and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task
• Speak and listen effectively with customers/associates, in person and over the phone
• Demonstrate computer skills with common and proprietary software
• Possess a valid Driver’s License
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work environment; may include noisy conditions or inclement weather
• Requires walking or standing for extended periods
• Variety of work schedules with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Occasional travel to other work locations
• Follow all Car Max, state and federal policies and regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and related safety standards
• Wear Car Max clothing at all times while in the store

• 3+ years of experience as a Manager (preferred)
